Fitreco Team (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of Users' personal information in the service "Fitreco" (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided through this application and website.

Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows:

  1. To provide and operate the Service
  2. To respond to inquiries from Users (including identity verification)
  3. To notify Users of new features, updates, campaigns, and other information about the Service they are using
  4. To contact Users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, and other communications
  5. To identify Users who violate the Terms of Service or who attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use
  6. To allow Users to view, change, or delete their registered information and view their usage status
  7. To charge Users for paid services
  8. To improve the Service and develop new features through analysis and statistical processing of usage data
  9. Purposes incidental to the above

Article 4 (Changes to Purpose of Use)

  1. We shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably recognized as being related to the purpose before the change.
  2. When changes to the purpose of use are made, we shall notify Users or publicly announce the changed purpose through the method prescribed by us.

Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties)

  1. We will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the User, except in the following cases:
    • When required by law
    • When necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
    • When especially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
    • When cooperation with a national institution, local government, or a person entrusted by either is needed for executing affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of such affairs
    • When personal information is provided in connection with succession of business due to merger or other reasons
  2. The Service uses the following third-party services, and information may be provided to these service providers to the extent necessary. Please refer to each service's privacy policy for information on how they handle personal information.
    • Supabase: Used as a database and authentication platform for storing user data and processing authentication.
    • Apple Sign In / Google Sign In: Used as social authentication for identity verification during account registration and login.
    • App Store (Apple) / Google Play Store (Google): Used for billing of paid plans. Payment information is managed by each store, and we do not directly obtain it.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

  1. When requested by the individual to disclose personal information, we shall disclose it to the individual without delay. However, if disclosure would fall under any of the following, we may choose not to disclose all or part of the information, and if we decide not to disclose, we shall notify the individual without delay:
    • When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party
    • When there is a risk of significantly impeding the proper conduct of our business
    • When it would violate other laws or regulations

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  1. Users may request correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") of their personal information held by us if it is incorrect, through the procedures prescribed by us.
  2. When we receive a request under the preceding paragraph and determine that it is necessary to respond to the request, we shall carry out the correction, etc. of the relevant personal information without delay.
  3. We shall notify the User without delay when we have carried out correction, etc. or when we have decided not to carry out correction, etc. based on the preceding paragraph.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

  1. When requested by the individual to suspend or delete the use of personal information (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it was obtained by fraudulent means, we shall conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
  2. Based on the results of the investigation under the preceding paragraph, if we determine that it is necessary to respond to the request, we shall carry out the suspension of use, etc. of the relevant personal information without delay.
  3. We shall notify the User without delay when we have carried out suspension of use, etc. or when we have decided not to carry out suspension of use, etc. based on the preceding paragraph.

Article 9 (Security Measures)

We take the following measures for the safe management of personal information to prevent leakage, loss, or damage:

  1. Data Encryption: Users' personal information and workout data are encrypted during transmission (SSL/TLS) and at rest.
  2. Cloud Data Storage: User data is securely stored on cloud servers with industry-standard security measures.
  3. Access Restrictions: Access to personal information is limited to the scope necessary for service operations.
  4. Account Deletion: When a User deletes their account, all data associated with the User (personal information, workout data, body composition data, menstrual cycle data, etc.) is permanently deleted.
